You remember the scene right; police going thug wild, beating peaceful protestors and media alike, back on May 1 at an immigration rally.
An L.A. Police report is finally out 5 months later. It mostly spews some pabulum and minimizes the criminal attack as the breakdown of discipline by a few individuals rather than the coordinated, intentional, comprehensive assault by the whole that it clearly was. Not to mention the constitutional violations which include attacking the press, for again, daring to film this assault on the peaceful demonstrators.
Fox 11 News in L.A.'s website reads: A police report released Tuesday blamed problems in leadership and training for a May Day melee in which officers in riot gear pummeled news media and demonstrators at an immigration rally.
The 90-page report to the city's civilian Police Commission echoed previous conclusions by the police chief and made a host of recommendations for changes in the way the Los Angeles Police Department handles confrontations.
Police had several chances to stop the violence during the confrontation, the report said.
"Instead, the failing leadership, breakdown in supervision and breakdown in personal discipline caused those without full situational awareness to take action without understanding how their decisions might affect the final outcome," the report concluded.
You can see the hooligans with badges in this video running wild beating whomever they fancy
The reporter wasn't taken no shit when that cop attacked her though, was she?
But try to find some national news stories about this on the net. Go ahead, I dare you.
